Shining Stars

BRTC bestows a Shining Star award to acknowledge a BRTC dancer who goes above and beyond in their dancing, attitude, service, and more.

March 2025

Kelsie has rejoined BRTC with a passion! She soaks in every routine and performed for the first time at Waltonwood on St. Patrick’s Day. She also allowed us to share her story on our Facebook page and in advertising our beginner classes.

The last time Kelsie received the Shining Star award was in November 2010. Kudos to our March Shining Star! You are that and more!

February 2025

Jesse is often overlooked for the Shining Star award, first because our board members are not eligible and he is married to our president. Thinking of them as one, we often forget to nominate him. Second, because he is our quiet, strong, behind the scenes support. He is there any time we need heavy things carried. He is the hardest worker at Mary’s work days. And he makes great effort to be at practices and performances even with demanding work and family schedules.

Jesse always has a smile and remembers the steps to every dance he has ever been taught - although he may not remember the name of the dance...

Kudos, Jesse, you are a treasure!
